Fact-checking services are offered to journalists writing about Franklin and any attractions or communities within Williamson County. To submit a story for fact-checking, please email the story to the public relations team here. Please also specify your deadline and allow for at least a 48-hour turnaround.

Media & Content Creator Hosting Guidelines

The Visit Franklin public relations team coordinates annual media and content creator visits for individuals and groups. Requests are handled on a case-by-case basis, and provided support depends upon the journalist’s story, advance notice provided, the length of stay, and the ability of Franklin and Williamson County attractions and hotels to accommodate assistance. If you are planning a media visit to Franklin and would like to request visit assistance, please review our guidelines and be prepared to provide the following:

  • Name of the journalist(s) and photographers(s)
  • Contact information: email address, phone number, media outlet representing
  • Published samples from within the last two years
  • Brief bio of the working journalist(s)

You should also be prepared to provide the following project-specific information:

  • Name of publication or targeted outlet for freelancers
  • Arrival date, length of visit, departure date
  • Types of activities, particular interest or focus, and any special requests

For Content Creators: 

  • Media kit
  • Published samples from within the last year the last year in addition to social media postings (blog, video channel, etc.)
  • Creators with a presence on social channels only will not be currently eligible for hosting assistance.
