5 Kix Brooks Jams We Hope to Hear at Harvest Party
Harvest Party at Arrington Vineyards is one of our favorite events every year, and it it truely one of those ‘this only happens in Franklin’ kind of experiences!
Bottle of AV wine…check. Best friends in tow with a picnic spread…check. Killer views of Williamson County’s scenic countryside…check. Okay, you’re ready for Harvest Party. It’s that extra-spectacular day at Arrington Vineyards when the man himself, the legendary Kix Brooks of Brooks & Dunn fame – yes, that’s right – Kix throws the biggest party of the year and jams out like only he can. Did we mention it’s a free concert? It’s true! Kix is a part-owner of the winery and while he’s been known to pour a few samples from behind the tasting bar, there’s not much that beats when he gets a few of his friends together for a Harvest Party show each fall. You never know which of his friends may show up, but one thing we do know is which of his classic Brooks & Dunn songs we hope to hear.
Boot Scootin’ Boogie
You can’t call it a party until you’ve done the Boot Scootin’ Boogie! Start your own line dance when this one cranks up. It’s guaranteed impossible not to have a great time when you hear those unmistakable, iconic first bars!
Play Something Country
What’s the best way to get the hillside at Arrington hopping? By playing ‘Something Country’ nice and loud of course! If the urge to dance to this one hits you, feel free, cowboy boots not required!
Brand New Man
The list wouldn’t be a true list without this tune. The first No. 1 hit for Brooks & Dunn way back in 1991 is still a crowd pleaser. Talk about a song that gets stuck in your head!
Sometimes it’s good to slow it down a bit. If you’re feelin’ it, ‘Believe’ will move you and inspire you. Hey, don’t you dare be ashamed of those tears! Tissue anyone?
Modern Day Romance
Let’s get nitty gritty on some details. Did you know before Brooks and Dunn got together, Kix was an accomplished songwriter? Hits like this one took the famed Nitty Gritty Dirt Band to the top of the charts.
So what songs from Kix or Brooks & Dunn would be on your list of favorites you’d want to hear at Arrington Vineyard’s Harvest Party? Let us know in the comments below.
