Challenge Accepted! The Best Margaritas in Franklin

Confession. I love tacos and queso (or as my boys call it, chips n cheese). Love might even be too soft of a word to use there.

If I were completely honest, my favorite days of the week are when my friends text me with the simple taco emoji question mark around lunch time. And of course, you can’t enjoy good tacos and queso without a companion. And by a companion, I mean margarita.

So in celebrating Cinco de Mayo this week, I thought I’d share a challenge I’ve gladly accepted numerous times around Franklin.

Sopapillas

Sopapillas

When Steve Dale opened Sopapillas in 2010, I promise you could hear a collective standing ovation from all over Williamson County. It’s just that good. He since has expanded and continues to impress guests with his authentic and unique approach to southwest flavors. On top of winning “Best Mexican Restaraunt,” for the past three years, the fresh Sopapillas served with honey at the end of the meal will no doubt impress. But whatever you do, don’t miss the Cucumber Margarita and handcrafted guac! Just trust me, and you’ll thank me later. #NomNom

Uncle Julio’s

Did you watch that video? Come on, a chocolate piñada! How can it get any better than that? Not only are the chips and salsa legit at Uncle Julio’s in Brentwood, but the Patrón Classic Margarita is perfect with everything on the menu. When you visit, make sure you try to get a table outside because the patio is great and one of the best ways to spend a Tennessee evening!

Chuy's Cool Springs

Chuy’s

One of my favorite things to do when Chuy’s is on the menu is get there between 4-7 p.m. for their FREE nacho bar! My boys LOVE it, and I do too. Chuy’s may have started in Austin, Texas, but it certainly has found a home here in Franklin. If you’ve never tried their jalepeńo ranch dip, then make a note to self and give it a shot next time you visit. Between their handmade tortillas, authentic take on tex-mex and Grand Ma’s Rockin’ Rita, you can’t go wrong!

Honestly, there are dozens of other great spots to gather with friends and enjoy some margarita’s in Franklin, but these are three of my fcurrent avorites (in addition to my house of course).

Feel differently? Then let me know in the comments below!

I’d love to know if I’m missing any and am always up for tacos!
