Mother’s Day is quickly approaching, and you know exactly what mom wants (besides an all expenses paid trip to a remote island)…BRUNCH in Franklin, of course!
As if there aren’t a million other reasons to enjoy a delicious brunch- cue Spring weather, mimosas, and biscuits the size of your head- Mother’s Day is the perfect excuse to check out one of Franklin’s brunch hot spots, below. Read on to figure out the best fit for you and mom!
Franklin’s brand new brunch spot, Ruby Sunshine, is located in the new 231 Public Square building in downtown Franklin.
This adorable spot puts a New Orleans twist on Southern breakfast classics, including eggs benedict, pancakes, french toast, and those biscuits I mentioned earlier! Enjoy brunch on their patio overlooking Franklin’s square and beautiful Main Street.
Speaking of biscuits, you must check out Biscuit Love, located in a beautiful historic home in downtown Franklin. You’ll find a scratch-made menu featuring Southern brunch favorites and some unique offerings as well!
Share “bonuts” with mom or enjoy the East Nasty, featuring a buttermilk biscuit, fried chicken, aged cheddar, and sausage gravy. It was even named the “Best Sandwich in America!”
Puckett’s Grocery and Restaurant
If you’re looking to enjoy a Franklin staple, take mom to Puckett’s Grocery and Restaurant in downtown Franklin, where you’ll find Southern comfort on a plate.
Enjoy a breakfast skillet, a custom omelet, pancakes with delicious mix-ins, or a breakfast platter full of country ham and eggs. Mom will enjoy Puckett’s laid-back atmosphere and might even be treated to some live music, too!
Located in the heart of downtown Franklin, 55 South offers Louisiana-inspired brunch favorites.
Named for the highway that runs from Memphis to New Orleans, this locals-favorite spot offers brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, featuring huevos rancheros, chicken and waffles, and breakfast tacos to name a few. Be sure to take mom for a stroll down Main Street after brunch for some retail therapy!
Set in Cool Springs, The Honeysuckle offers elevated Southern cuisine in a rustic-chic setting. For brunch, enjoy fried green tomatoes, breakfast macaroni, and cheese, the breakfast club, or the southern benedict. Don’t miss their fresh juices or cocktails either.
Enjoy fresh breakfast classics at this favorite Cool Springs brunch spot. Everything at First Watch is made to order, and they’ll welcome you and mom with a pot- not just a cup- of their Project Sunrise coffee.
Enjoy some of the new items on their Spring seasonal menu, including million-dollar bacon, lemon blueberry quinoa pancakes, or smoked salmon tzatziki toast, along with the usual brunch suspects.
Granite City Food and Brewery
Be sure to make your reservation today for this laid-back restaurant’s Mother’s Day Brunch. Featuring an on-site brewery, at Granite City Food and Brewery you can enjoy mom’s favorite brew, along with french toast, jumbo shrimp, biscuits, and gravy, and more at their Cool Springs location.
Gray’s on Main
Mom will love this Franklin staple, located in an 1876 Victorian building that used to serve as a landmark pharmacy. Gray’s on Main honors Tennessee’s cultural heritage through unique spirits and flavors from the pre-prohibition era.
You and mom can enjoy live music as you dine on a Southern-comfort style brunch with a twist. Don’t miss their world-renowned cocktails, either. Bloody Mary, anyone?
I am always looking for a good patio for brunching, and Tupelo Honey has the perfect one (not to mention the delicious food!) Offering creative Southern cuisine, you and Mom will find avocado toast and eggs, shrimp & grits, breakfast bowls, and “Tupelo’s famous chicken.”
I’d also recommend saying “thanks for putting up with me for all these years, mom” by toasting with one (or several) of their mimosas.
