If you’ve been paying attention to any of the buzz Nashville, Tennessee has been getting lately; you’ll know it’s become the “IT” city for weekend getaways, reunions, and bachelorette parties galore. Coincidentally, it’s also been great for those inbound travelers who end up deciding to book their stay just a few minutes down the road in Franklin. You may not immediately associate Franklin with a guys getaway, bachelor party, or weekend fraternity reunion but you’d be surprised at what a great destination Franklin has grown into welcoming men from all across the spectrum.

Battlefield & Burgers
Obviously, there’s a ton to see and do all around Franklin, Tennessee but perhaps the biggest thing we’re known for is the historic battlefield preservation that’s taken place creating some of the very best battlefield tours in the country. It’s certainly a don’t miss experience when planning a trip. Pairing it with some gourmet burgers as Steve suggests below easily competes for the best day ever hashtag on Insta.

Hit the Harpeth
If you’re more the outdoor adventurer type, then you’ll enjoy the video above and resonate with local river expert, Ken Leggett. Ken’s known for his antics on the river and gives solid wisdom here mentioning Kimbro’s after a day spent on the Harpeth. Between the atmosphere and live music, you’ll see why Kimbro’s is one of Franklin’s best juke joints.

Hot Chicken Challenge
One more thing Nashville has become known for is its hot chicken. Naturally, there’s some great hot chicken around Franklin too, but if you’re planning a getaway towards the end of summer in August, then you’d be wise to heed the words of one, Frank Franklin, star of the nearly famous Frankly Franklin with Frank Franklin.
