If you love Pumpkin Spice Lattes, you’ll love Pumpkinfest!
Fall is here and Halloween is just around the corner, which means it’s time for Pumpkinfest to take over historic Main Street in downtown Franklin. The largest fall festival in Middle Tennessee, Pumpkinfest has become an annual tradition for all of us and there’s no shortage of fun, entertainment, and pumpkin-inspired food…no wait! Make that pumpkin-inspired everything!
There are a few traditions at Pumpkinfest that first-time visitors must experience plus new stuff that seasoned, loyal Pumpkinfest fans can look forward to this year.
The Kid’s Zone and Costume Contests
Take your Halloween costume for a test drive! Contests for all ages – from the youngest of newborn pumpkins all the way up to those that are still, shall we say, “young at heart.” Parents, make sure the kids can move around in those costumes because when they spot the Kids’ Zone, they’ll be ready for an afternoon of bounce houses, pony rides, and the rest!
Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins!
It wouldn’t be much of a Pumpkinfest without pumpkins now, would it? Be sure to check out The Great Pumpkin which travels from Franklin’s sister city of Carleton Place, Ontario Canada each year. You can even guess its weight for a chance at fun prizes. And check out the Leiper’s Fork Carving Club as they show off their incredible pumpkin carving skills.
Pumpkin spice everything please!
For those who love fall simply because it means you can get pumpkin spice flavored everything, you are in in luck! Food and drink vendors line Main Street with pumpkin-flavored offerings of every variety. Sip on a pumpkin brew or stay warm with a PSL (that’s pumpkin spice latte’) as you shop the 100+ local artists and vendors.
