7 Ways To Have the Best June With Your Whole Family
Summer is here in Franklin, Tennessee! School is out, the weather is warm and there’s plenty of fun to be had around town this month, including several new unique events! Read on to hear more about June activities for the whole family.
Yep, you read that correctly. Franklin has polo! The Franklin Polo Academy holds several polo matches at Harlinsdsale Farm throughout the summer. No, the newlyweds (Harry and Meghan, of course) will not be in attendance, but you will find plenty of food, drink and kids’ activities including pony rides and face painting. Check out the matches on June 2 and June 30.
Saturday, June 16 marks the return of the annual Westhaven PorchFest, an incredible music and art festival that you don’t want to miss! PorchFest will include over 75 performers playing on front porches in the Westhaven community, followed by a concert on the lake featuring Vinyl Radio. Bring the family, grab a bite to eat from the on-site food trucks and be sure to check out the makers market.
Who doesn’t love good music and a a tasty breakfast? Although they do make an unexpected pair, this will make for an unforgettable event. Held at the Factory in Franklin on June 24, the first festival of its kind will include breakfast foods and coffee from places to eat around Franklin and an eclectic lineup from across the globe. Grab your bagel sandwich and jam out to New Found Glory, Bayside, the Movielife, William Ryan Key, Hot Rod Circuit, Free Throw, Cartel, and more.
Summer Sunset Concert at Carnton
Carnton’s sunset concert series is back! Check out FAB, a Beatles tribute on June 24. Gather on the lawn with your family for a picnic dinner or enjoy delicious on-site food trucks and beverage vendors.
Watermelon Festival at Lucky Ladd Farms
Check out Lucky Ladd Farms on Saturday, June 30 for their annual Watermelon Festival! Your kids will be entertained all day with Lucky Ladd’s usual awesome attractions including a animal encounters, pony rides, and mega slides, but during the Watermelon Festival you can also cool off in the Splash Zone featuring a splash pad, bubble blast pool and inflatable water slides. And- celebrate all things watermelon with a watermelon crawl, melon toss, seed spitting and watermelon eating contests.
The Great Slider Showdown
After checking out the Watermelon Festival, join us at the Factory in Franklin on Saturday, June 30 for the first annual Great Slider Showdown, where you can enjoy delicious sliders created by 12 talented chefs competing for the Goldens’ Slider prize.

The Tennessee Association of VIntage Base Ball brings 19th century baseball to life by using the costumes, equipment, rules and culture surrounding the game in the 1860s. Catch a Vintage Ball game at Carnton on June 3 at noon!
