How to Make Your March Unforgettable in Franklin, TN
March might be my favorite month of the year – only after my birthday month (it’s August, for the record). It’s the time of year when it finally starts to feel like spring, the blooms on the trees start making their annual appearance, and the anticipation of longer days is in the air.
With warmer weather on the horizon, Franklin, Tennessee is buzzing with all sorts of activity – from beer festivals to nature hikes! Join us this spring for a slew of events!
March Art Scene
One of my favorite ways to ring in a new month is with Art Scene in downtown Franklin, Tennessee. Each month, shops in downtown Franklin turn into art galleries (not to mention the galleries that are open year-round, like Gallery 202). From paintings to illustrations and everything in between, you’ll leave Art Scene feeling inspired to do something magical with the month ahead!
Meet the Makers Event Series
If you missed the first part of the Meet the Makers Event Series, you can still catch the final installment on Saturday, March 3. The event will feature Mill Creek Brewing Co. from Nolensville, Tennessee. They’ll be pouring free tastes at the Visitor Center to everyone 21 and older. You’ll also be able to pick their brain about brewing beer and learn more about their incredible (dog-friendly) taproom!
Taste of Williamson
Let’s be honest – you’ve broken your New Year’s Resolution by now (and if you haven’t, good for you!). Taste of Williamson at CoolSprings Galleria will feature all sorts of indulgences from around Williamson County. You’ll find sample food and treats from all over Williamson County and beyond! I personally am excited to try delicious fare from The Honeysuckle Local & Social with a side of ice cream from Hattie Jane’s Creamery.
Whiskey Warmer has become an end of winter tradition for my family. With 15 whiskey tastings, great local food, and live music what’s not to love? If you see me there, be sure to stop by and raise a glass with me as we wish winter goodbye!
Christian Worldview Film Festival
March 12 – 17
The 5th Annual Christian Film Festival and Guild will screen over 60 films and host 40 film-related workshops! The event is family-friendly, so grab some popcorn, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
Main Street Brewfest
Sample some of the best local, national, and international brews in Historic Downtown Franklin at Main Street Brewfest! Expect (lots of) beer, live music, food trucks, merriment, and more! Oh, and did we mention the event falls on St. Patrick’s Day? Be sure to wear your green when you raise a glass!
Wildflower Hikes at Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary
March 17, 24, and 31
If you’re anything like me, you are fed up with being cooped up the past few months! Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary is providing visitors with a great chance to get outside! Join them for Wildflower Hikes on March 17, 24, and 31. Can’t make it this March? No worries! The fun continues into April with hikes on April 7, 14, and 21.
Was your 2018 resolution to launch your Underwater Basket Weaving business? If so, you have to check out GUMPTION at the Factory at Franklin on March 24! Some of the best makers and artisans in the region will be giving you inside tips and tricks on starting a business – from accounting information to social media hacks.
Easter Celebration at Lucky Ladd Farms
March 30 – 31
If you’re looking for a way to celebrate Easter with the whole family, we’ve got some egg-citing news! Lucky Ladd Farms (just outside of Franklin), is hosting their annual Easter Celebration that will feature fun games, activities, crafts, and of course – a visit from the Easter Bunny!
