Nashville Golf Open
Calling all golf fanatics! See the future stars of the PGA TOUR, May 24-27 at the Web.com Tour’s Nashville Golf Open, played at the Nashville Golf and Athletic Club in Brentwood, Tennessee. Country music fans will also recognize a familiar face as superstar Jake Owen trades in his guitar for the week and makes his professional golf debut.
Tennessee Renaissance Festival
Travel back in time to 16th century England at the Tennessee Renaissance Festival! Taste the flavors of the Renaissance (giant turkey leg anyone?), chat with skilled sword-wielding artisans and experience the thrill of man-powered rides. Be sure to get your spot in line for a free tour of a Renaissance-era castle.
69th Annual Franklin Rodeo
Yeehaw y’all! The Franklin Rodeo is back for its 69th year and still stands as one of the largest rodeos east of the Mississippi River! Catch a glimpse of real cowboys and cowgirls in action as they saddle up to compete in events from team roping and steer wrestling to barrel racing and of course bull riding. You can enjoy the Franklin Rodeo May 17-19 at the Ag Expo Center.
Eat The Street: Franklin’s Food Truck Festival
Food truck lovers rejoice! There is an event just for you. From 5-10 p.m., May 4, head to Bicentennial Park in historic downtown Franklin to enjoy Eat the Street, Franklin’s own food truck festival. While you savor the flavors of your favorite food trucks you’ll also be doing good since this is a fundraiser for the 21st District Recovery Court.
Hot Air Balloon Festival
The Franklin hot air balloon festival returns to Franklin from 4:30 – 8 p.m., Saturday, May 5, at Westhaven Lake. This year, attendees can enjoy live music, craft vendors, food trucks, a beer tent, and a hot air balloon glow at dusk.
