Is Pilgrimage 2017 The Best Festival Lineup Ever Assembled?
You've probably heard the news by now (unless your observance of Lent is resisting the urge to constantly check Facebook at every stop sign). But the news of Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival's lineup has garnered hundreds of millions of online impressions for Franklin, Tennessee and has already resulted in VIP tickets selling out within the first few days! Pretty incredible right?
If you're like me and need no further convincing to get your tickets and #MakeThePilgrimage to #FranklinTN, then click here. We're offering several local hotel discounts we know you'll see and immediately want to take advantage!
If by chance you haven't seen the lineup this year, then watch the announcement video below.
After giving it some thought and watching that video again, I'm pretty sure Pilgrimage 2017 is the best festival lineup ever assembled!
Let's walk through it together...
1. Justin Timberlake.
Of course. I mean come on. Do I need to go on here? Not only has JT recently decided to move to our lovely community but his opening to the Oscars this year (watch below) was INCREDIBLE! If seeing him live at a festival (which he never does btw) isn't enough to convince you to #MakeThePilgrimage, then I'm not sure what will.
2. Eddie Vedder.
Are you kidding me? I've loved Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder since I was a kid. If you're not familiar, stop what you're doing and listen to this record on Spotify. So to get the chance to see him in person is for sure a bucket-list item for me!
3. Ryan Adams.
Yes, please. I've already heard from several friends who've told me how excited they are to see Ryan Adams live. Listening to his 2015 record "1989" I can already picture myself at Harlinsdale Farm kicking back with my friends. His performance alone will surely be incredible!
4. The Avett Brothers.
Stop it. Seriously! It seems like everywhere I turn critics and fans alike are talking nonstop about The Avett Brothers. This song alone is on repeat at least once a week for me personally, so I'm looking forward to seeing them this year.
5. Shovels and Rope.
This duo may be new to Pilgrimage but certainly not new to making headlines. If you're following along and already starting to make your Pilgrimage playlist, then don't forget to add this song here. Not bad for a top 5 right? Let's keep going!
6. Langhorne Slim.
Five words: He killed it last year. So I'm really excited he's coming back to #FranklinTN. If you haven't already downloaded the Pilgrimage mobile app then follow that link and add him to your festival schedule!
7. Nikki Lane.
There's a good chance you've seen some of our ads somewhere featuring Nikki Lane and #FranklinTN. The Visit Franklin team fell in love with her last year and decided to feature her in several different creative campaigns telling the world about what makes our community so great. You're not going to want to miss her at Pilgrimage this year!
8. Colony House.
Love that these guys call #FranklinTN home. If you haven't been able to see them out there somewhere with another great group called Need to Breathe, then get ready to #MakeThePilgrimage because I can guarantee you'll fall in love with them.
9. Amanda Shires.
There's a part of me that's so excited to see Amanda at Pilgrimage this year. I got to see her with husband, Jason Isbell last year, and another part of me is hoping he'll make an appearance. Together, they're simply amazing!
10. Ruby Amanfu.
Now truth be told, I"m a little biased here. I've been lucky enough to know Ruby for a while and have LOVED every single time I've seen her perform. If you don't know how she is, start doing your research now and get ready because she's going to blow you away at Pilgrimage 2017.
Bonus: Bishop Gunn.
These are the guys you'll want to watch. If you've been lucky, you've heard them rock the house at Puckett's in Leiper's Fork but if not, make sure to be near when they take the stage at Pilgrimage. You'll become a fan.
