Remember when I said we’re launching a new look on September 7? Well, that’s not all that’s happening that day! We’re also celebrating Art Scene at the Visitor Center from 6-9 p.m., with our dear friend, Kayla Stark! She’ll be showcasing some incredible illustrations and we’ll be showcasing our new website! 4. Shakespeare in the Park
Franklin Shakes will return to Academy Park in Franklin for a performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The event is free (suggested donation of $10) and great for the entire family. What better way to enjoy an evening in Franklin, Tennessee than with a live performance in the park?
5. Imperial Commissary Collector’s Convention
You may have noticed, but I’m a total geek when it comes to anything sci-fi or comic related. That’s why I’m so stoked for IC Collector’s Convention on September 15! May the force be with you and may you meet William Shatner. (I know, I know. William Shatner was in Star Trek, but folks of Star Wars fame will be there, too! Worlds collide!)
6. Make the Pilgrimage
Need I say more? But just in case I do, I cannot wait to spend September 22-23 at Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival! I’ll be surrounded by all my friends, listening to amazing music from some of my favorite bands – like Dawes, Bleachers, John Moreland, and more! Of course, I’ll also be enjoying lots of delicious food, shopping, and drinks!
7. Eat, y’all!
No, that’s not a command. Okay, maybe it is a little. Only because I really do want y’all to eat at Eat Y’all Connect Dinner at Leiper’s Fork Distillery, September 25. This all-inclusive dinner will feature multiple courses prepared by Chef Bill Briand from Fisher’s in Orange Beach, Alabama and Chef Dylan Morrison from 1892, located right here in Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee. This dining experience will also feature libations, live music, cigars, and more!
