7 Ways to Make Your September The Best Yet!
Fall may be on the horizon, but those of you who have been to Franklin, Tennessee know that the end of summer doesn't have to mean the end of fun! In fact, I'm 99 percent sure there is plenty of warm weather ahead, meaning you should get out and enjoy it!
So before you indulge in that #PSL life, check out these things to do in and around Franklin that will make your September the best month of 2018 so far!
1. Enter to win a trip to #FranklinTN
You may or may not have heard, but we're giving away a VIP experience in #FranklinTN! We've got a brand new look coming your way on September 7, and to celebrate, we're giving away a once-in-a-lifetime trip to #FranklinTN, worth nearly $3,000. By entering to win, you'll also be the first to see our new look!
2. Join us at Art Scene
Remember when I said we're launching a new look on September 7? Well, that's not all that's happening that day! We're also celebrating Art Scene at the Visitor Center from 6-9 p.m., with our dear friend, Kayla Stark! She'll be showcasing some incredible illustrations and we'll be showcasing our new website! We can't wait to celebrate with you then.
3. Check out our new look
Remember that new website I mentioned? (Are you sensing a theme yet? It's a theme of excitement!) Be sure to check it out at VisitFranklin.com when the new look goes live September 7!
4. Shakespeare in the Park
Franklin Shakes will return to Academy Park in Franklin for a performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream. The event is free (suggested donation of $10) and great for the entire family. What better way to enjoy an evening in Franklin, Tennessee than with a live performance in the park?
5. Imperial Commissary Collector's Convention
You may have noticed, but I'm a total geek when it comes to anything sci-fi or comic related. That's why I'm so stoked for IC Collector's Convention on September 15! May the force be with you and may you meet William Shatner. (I know, I know. William Shatner was in Star Trek, but folks of Star Wars fame will be there, too! Worlds collide!)
6. Make the Pilgrimage
Need I say more? But just in case I do, I cannot wait to spend September 22-23 at Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival! I'll be surrounded by all my friends, listening to amazing music from some of my favorite bands - like Dawes, Bleachers, John Moreland, and more! Of course, I'll also be enjoying lots of delicious food, shopping, and drinks!
No, that's not a command. Okay, maybe it is a little. Only because I really do want y'all to eat at Eat Y'all Connect Dinner at Leiper's Fork Distillery, September 25. This all-inclusive dinner will feature multiple courses prepared by Chef Bill Briand from Fisher's in Orange Beach, Alabama and Chef Dylan Morrison from 1892, located right here in Leiper's Fork, Tennessee. This dining experience will also feature libations, live music, cigars, and more!
Enjoy your September, everyone! Let us know what you're most excited about in the comments below!
