The Olympics are here! 4 Places to Watch in Franklin
Caught up in the Olympic frenzy yet? The face painting, patriotic, love of country, make you want to chant ‘U-S-A, U-S-A’ kind! Since most of us aren’t Rio bound for the Olympics, we need to know where the hardcore fans will be hanging out to watch here at home.
Luckily we can turn to our Public Relations Manager, Matt, who is a sport watching expert. No really, he started his career getting paid to travel with teams around the country and watch sports, so we had him list his top four great places to catch the Olympics in Franklin.
Kings Dining & Entertainment
Have you seen The Draft Room at King’s Bowl? Seriously, a gigantic wall of televisions that will swallow you right into the bigger-than-life Olympic experience. Fan frenzy requires fuel so check out the King’s Bowl menu. Fair warning, there are a ton of awesome choices so if decisions don’t come easy for you, try the Spicy Buffalo Chicken sandwich…you’re welcome. Also, since you are watching the world’s greatest athletes, might as well finish that meal off with one of King’s massive signature milkshakes too. If you’d rather be active while watching the Olympics, head over to the custom bowling lanes where you’ll still be able to see the games as you bowl the night away. Bring your friends or make new ones when you get there, just make sure you’re rootin’ for the USA!

Franklin Abbey, the self-described “best pub in Franklin” could be your go-to home base for the summer games. This British-style pub is home to Manchester United fans during every ManU match, so you gotta know Olympic soccer will be on every screen. Grab your buddies, grab a pint and settle in for the battle of the world’s best.

Are you thinking, “I sure want to watch the Olympics, but I wish someone would sing some pretty awesome jams at the same time?” Well, you are in luck! That’s just what you’ll find at Old School, a sports bar and live music joint all in one. So when the USA starts racking up the Gold Medals, it should be pretty easy to find someone to lead the whole place in singing the National Anthem!
