King’s Bowl

Have you seen The Draft Room at King’s Bowl yet? Seriously, a gigantic wall of televisions that will swallow you lets you watch games in a bigger-than-life way. While the gigantic screens steal the show for the top games of the day, don’t worry about not seeing your favorite team’s game while you’re in town. In total the Draft Room has over 15 screens to choose from so whether watching the local Tennessee Titans of the NFL or hunting for your mid-major alma mater’s homecoming game, they’ve got a screen for you. Fan frenzy requires fuel so check out the King’s Bowl menu too. It’s filled with a ton of awesome choices so if decisions don’t come easy for you, try the Spicy Buffalo Chicken sandwich…and thank me later. Bring your friends or go it alone and make new ones along the way! And if you’d rather be active while you watch, there are large screens atop the bowling lanes, pool tables, and Whiskey Room at King’s too, so wherever you go you can keep up with your team.

Bell’s Brewery Craft Beer Hall at Pilgrimage

So you’re a huge music fan and you can’t wait to see all your favorites take the stage this year at Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival. On one hand, you’re stoked for the music, but in the back of your mind, you also know your team has a HUGE game that week. The good folks at Pilgrimage feel your pain and have a massive setup inside the Bell’s Brewery Craft Beer Hall. Screens are playing the biggest college and NFL games of the day, while beer flows and tunes ring out from the stages around you! As someone who has multiple University of Tennessee degrees hanging on the wall, Pilgrimage has fallen on Florida game week in recent years and the Bell’s Brewery Craft Beer Hall has saved the day. Anyone familiar with SEC football knows the importance of Tennessee vs. Florida and I’ll never forget being in the tent hugging strangers I’d never met after Tennessee won two years ago. (Don’t bring up last year….)

O’ Be Joyful

For the whiskey-loving football fan, saddle up to the newest bar in downtown Franklin, O’ Be Joyful. The whiskey pub from the same minds behind Gray’s On Main features well over 100 whiskeys to choose from, along with beer and other spirits to go along with classic game day food like burgers, sandwiches, and the unexpected gamechanger fried Oreos. With TVs lining the wall sip on a rare whiskey for the first time or settle in with your classic go-to and watch your favorite team.

Brew House South

Looking for the classic sports bar experience? Brew House South is calling your name. With a wall of televisions, 100+ beer choices, and a menu that’s not too shabby either, there’s a good chance you’ve just found your official hangout for any football weekend. Check out the games inside or outside on the patio and don’t forget to wear your team colors. As a classic go-to spot in Franklin, you’ll want to quickly identify your fellow fans!

Drury Plaza Hotel

Go to the hotel to watch a football game? Hear me out before you roll your eyes! While you are in town for a weekend getaway be sure to book your stay at the Drury Plaza Franklin and request a room on the football stadium side of the hotel! The Drury Plaza overlooks a local high school so on Friday’s you can sit in the comfort of your room and relive the glory days of Friday Night Lights! During the NFL preseason, you can also catch the NFL’s Tennessee Titans getting in some work under the lights! While the field outside your window may be empty on Saturday and Sundays, all you have to do is walk through the Drury’s lobby to find Granite City Food & Brewery where you can catch games from across the nation as you sample a wide range of beers and snack on unique creations from their grill.
