Three ways to celebrate love in #FranklinTN
February is the month of love, and there’s no lovelier place to spend the day of love than in Franklin, Tennessee! From a romantic evening out with your significant other to a day spending time with your family, #FranklinTN just oozes love! Here are three date ideas that are sure to steal your heart.
It’s hard to beat the class “dinner and movie” as a Valentine’s date. My husband and I consider dinner and a movie a go-to date night, so why not just step it up a notch? Get dressed up and head to Gray’s on Main for an old fashioned cocktail crafted by their amazing (and entertaining) bartenders. Then, grab something delicious from their Southern-inspired kitchen (bacon wrapped figs, anyone?). Last but not least – DESSERT! Gray’s recently hired a new pastry chef who has been cranking out some scrumptious southern concoctions like Sweet Tea Banana pudding and Almond Cornmeal Cake. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
After your bellies are full, head to the historic Franklin Theatre for a night of Dirty Dancing – the movie that is. The Movie Gang is showing the 80’s classic with a few surprises – free roses anyone? Nobody puts baby in a corner and this date night combo will definitely make you feel like the star of the show!
If you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and relax this Valentine’s Day, I recommend heading to Harvest at Homestead Manor. This hyper-local restaurant oozes romance (and history)! Harvest at Homestead is known for growing their homegrown veggies and raising their food right on the property. From cocktails to dinner to dessert, chances are, a lot of the ingredients used in your meal were grown in their backyard (literally).
PRO TIP: Request a seat at the bar (a converted greenhouse) to. This glass room is cozy, and the moonlight streams in through the windows, making it the perfect romantic location for a date.
If you plan on celebrating Valentine’s Day over the weekend, check out Homestead Manor’s Valentine’s Grand Dance featuring delicious appetizers and cocktails, plus live music and more! Snag your tickets fast – they will sell out!
Valentine’s Day isn’t just about going on a romantic date with your significant other – it’s about showing your entire group of loved ones you care about them! Grab a group of friends or the entire family for a day (or night!) of bowling at Kings Bowl at CoolSprings Galleria. After you munch on some delicious from-scratch appetizers and entrees, grab a lane and let the competition begin! After a game (or five!) of bowling, grab a delectable milkshake and head to The Whiskey Room for some live music.
