Martin’s BBQ Joint
If you’ve seen the newest video from Visit Franklin Films, then you’d get a taste of what makes Martin’s BBQ so great. Honoring the tradition of West Tennessee’s legendary whole-hog Bar-B-Que, Martin’s has been featured on the Food Network, Travel Channel, Cooking Channel, and The Today Show. We point many visitors to Martin’s for some of the best bbq in town.
As one of the newest places in the county to dine, 1892 will leave you wowed by the creativity and flavors Chef Dylan Morrison dreams up. The Leiper’s Fork restaurant sits in a historic house built in 1892, hence the name 1892 and every single ingredient is locally sourced or locally grown. If any of this sounds even remotely attractive, then be sure to check out their Instagram account. The photos alone will have you calling to make a reservation asap!
I’ve been fortunate to travel all over the world several times over and some of my favorite places to eat are the smaller, lesser known, spots like Burger Shack. Just down the road from Franklin in Nolensville, Burger Shack is the classic west coast style burger with the best fries and shakes. My go-to is the plain and simple chocolate shake. It makes for the perfect pairing with a classic burger.
Ludlow & Prime
Ludlow & Prime is Brentwood’s “Local Wood Grille + Coastal Kitchen.” They source local ingredients whenever possible to serve the freshest food to visitors and locals alike. From their daily Farmers Market Meat & Three at lunchtime for $9.99 to a daily happy hour, Ludlow & Prime is a delicious spot just north of Franklin, Tennessee.
This is my wife and I’s go-to date night spot located in the heart of Cool Springs next to Franklin, Tennessee. Wild Ginger features an eclectic blend of pan-Asian, South American, and western cuisine in the Pacific Rim style. They’ve won a ton of awards over the years, but we love the spicy edamame and crazy cow. You seriously can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. There’s also a great pineapple jalapeno margarita I’d highly suggest too!
Salty Goat Taqueria
The best tacos, fresh guacamole, amazing salsa and of course fantastic cheese dip are all that you’d expect from a Jason McConnell taqueria concept and the Salty Goat in Spring Hill delivers and then some. Throw in some great margaritas, beers, and a family-friendly open-air dining area and you’ve got a destination just down the road, south of Franklin, Tennessee.
If you’ve never visited Franklin, Tennessee before, then make no mistake about it, Puckett’s Grocery, located in downtown Franklin has to be on your itinerary. Whether you’re going for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you’ll love the southern-rooted atmosphere and classic authentic comfort food. If you love slow-cooked barbecue or meat and three specials, then you’ll absolutely love Puckett’s!
Gray’s on Main
It’s hard to name all the reasons why Gray’s on Main is one of the best places to eat in Franklin, Tennessee. Between the history of the 1876 Victorian building, the quality of the food, the service, and outstanding hospitality showed to every single guest; you can’t go wrong with adding this Main Street attraction to your itinerary. And whatever you do, be sure to experience one of their signature cocktails! They’re fantastic!
