Battle of Franklin Annual Commemoration at Carnton
Every year the anniversaries of the Battles of Spring Hill and Franklin are commemorated for their role in the American story. Programming is a little different every year, but all three Battle of Franklin Trust sites Carnton, Carter House and Rippa Villa commemorate the anniversaries.
This November at each site, guests will experience guided interpretation beginning in each visitor center with a brief introduction, and then be lead to and through each home in small groups. Intended to allow for a more personal chance to better understand and comprehend what happened 158 years ago. On Wednesday, November 30, 5 pm to 7 pm at both Carnton and Carter House, and the day before, Tuesday, November 29 5 pm to 7 pm at Rippa Villa, in Spring Hill.
Take 30 minutes at this unique time of day/evening this November to experience the stories of the Battle of Franklin and Spring Hill, the cost, and long-term impact.
Both events are free and open to the public.
