VISIT FRANKLIN ANNOUNCES 2018 AMBASSADOR PROGRAM DATES

FRANKLIN, Tenn.  – The Visit Franklin Ambassador Program will return in 2018 with eight dates, each of which falls on the second Tuesday of the month, April – November. The half-day training program which educates people about the various tourism offerings available to visitors to Williamson County is provided as a service to all hospitality partners who interact with visitors, as well as to the general public for a nominal $25 fee.

The monthly ambassador program runs from 12-5 p.m., where new ambassadors take part in a short interactive classroom experience directed by Visit Franklin Senior Manager of Business Development Megan Weisinger, in addition to a downtown Franklin walking tour, and trolley tour to many of the top tourism spots across the Williamson County.

Classes are capped at 25 participants each month, ensuring an authentic experience, and at the conclusion of the program, the newly minted ambassadors receive a certificate, #FranklinTN Ambassador lapel pin, and an Ambassador Card that serves as a VIP pass to several Williamson County attractions.

“We were thrilled with the excitement for this program during its inaugural year, and are happy to expand it even further going forward,” said Megan Weisinger, Senior Manager of Business Development. “We have already seen a positive impact on our visitor’s experience thanks to our Ambassadors and love the pride that the entire community has shown in making visitors feel welcome.”

Following a wave of popularity during its 2017 debut, the program’s class offerings have been expanded to eight months on the 2018 dates: April 10, May 8, June 12, July 10, August 14, September 11, October 9, and November 13. Those interested can sign up here. Businesses or local groups that wish to have a class specifically for their organization can contact Visit Franklin directly to make those arrangements.
