Visit Franklin’s Jamie Cox Named one of 30 Future Leaders of Destination Marketing
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Jamie Cox, Marketing Coordinator for the Williamson County Convention and Visitors Bureau, has been selected as an honoree in the Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) “30 Under 30” Class of 2017. Cox and the rest of the 2017 honorees will be recognized during DMAI’s annual convention in Montreal, Canada, July 11-14.
“It’s a great honor to be recognized by peers from within the industry,” said Cox. “I am excited to connect with the other honorees at the convention and bring back fresh and creative ideas for marketing Franklin.”
Cox, a graduate of Indiana University, has been with Visit Franklin since October of 2014. In that time she has helped facilitate the branding of the organization and maintains its visual identity across both digital and print platforms.
“I am so proud of Jamie for this honor, but even more proud that she is a member of our Visit Franklin team,” said Williamson County Convention & Visitors Bureau President & CEO Ellie Westman Chin. “Jamie brings such a creative eye and unique vision to each project she touches. She is a huge reason why our organization’s branding and marketing efforts are getting noticed across the globe.”
The 30 honorees, each 30 years of age and under, will have the opportunity to engage in professional development and networking opportunities both at the DMAI annual convention and throughout 2017. In addition to Cox from Visit Franklin, the honorees originate from a variety of destinations organizations of all sizes including Meet Puerto Rico, Destination DC, Travel Oregon, Visit Wichita and Brand USA.
Speaking about the distinguished class of 2017 honorees, DMAI Chairman Gary C. Sherwin added, “One of the main priorities for our industry today is developing our workforce, and specifically our leadership, for tomorrow. The ‘30 Under 30’ initiative gives us the ability to do both. It has been exciting to watch the enthusiasm of these young professionals as they form a network they can rely on.”
