Behind the Scenes Tour

Make plans to be on one of the best tours in Franklin! At Franklin's oldest three storied public building, visitors explore "hidden" areas of the hall, covered for generations by paint and modernization! Hear the remarkable stories that transformed Franklin, Tennessee, and the United States. Our behind the scenes tour allows visitors to get up close and personal with Civil War graffiti left by countless soldiers during occupation and the November 30, 1864 Battle of Franklin. Visitors may also touch fingerprints of enslaved men, women, and children that are found in the c.1823 bricks.

Tours are every Thursdays and Fridays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and last approximately 90 minutes. Comfortable shoes and the ability to climb stairs are recommended. Seating is available to anyone who needs to take a quick break. Admission: $20.00
