The Franklin Theatre

Built in 1937, this iconic Art Deco movie theater is known as the Crown Jewel of Franklin’s Main Street. An $8 million renovation in 2007 kept the sumptuous charm of a bygone era while adding a state-of-the-art lighting and sound system, making it a favorite performance venue for a diverse range of artists including Steve Martin, Sheryl Crow, Wynonna, and Ricky Skaggs.
