We’re thrilled to announce our inaugural Franklin Theatre Songwriter Series in collaboration with Given Entertainment. Our first event will feature Tim Nichols, Jimmy Yeary, Matt Wynn, and Autumn McEntire.
About the songwriters:
Tim Nichols:
With nearly two dozen smash hits, multiple BMI songwriting awards, a Grammy for Best Country Song, as well as recently being a 2017 Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame inductee, Tim Nichols has earned his place among Nashville’s most elite and respected tunesmiths.
Jimmy Yeary:
Jimmy has written more than two-thousand songs, many of which have been featured on albums selling millions of copies–Grammy winners, gold and platinum awards among them. 14 of Jimmy’s songs have been certified “Number 1” hits as singles by Billboard Magazine. Both the CMA and ACM awarded Jimmy Yeary with “Song of the Year” for I Drive Your Truck–the inspiring song he wrote about the father of a fallen soldier and how he continues to remember his son.
Matt Wynn:
Since signing with Given Entertainment, Matt has spent the last year plus passionately churning out songs in mostly two-a-day writing sessions at the company, carving out his own unique style and laying the foundation to make his mark in today’s country. He’s had the opportunity to meet and write with several of his country heroes like Phil Vassar, Aaron Tippin, Billy Dean and Andy Griggs and feels blessed to be at this point in his burgeoning career.
Autumn McEntire:
As a songwriter, Autummn McEntire’s music is as nostalgic as is it is relatable. In her song “Radioland,” written with and recorded by Ashley McBryde, she references that hairbrush microphone that so many people are familiar with from their youth. Autumn honed her skillset by working with and learning from some of Music Row’s top hitmakers including Tommy Lee James, Marcus Hummon, and Liz Hengber.
