Looking for a fun evening out? Be sure to stop by Franklin Art Scene the first Friday of each month downtown Franklin. Art Scene includes dozens of sites that host artisans, and live music, or serve complimentary refreshments for guests to enjoy from 6pm – 9 p.m. It’s a great (and free!) way to celebrate local craftsmanship and to appreciate a variety of art– there’s everything from blown glass to wood to paintings and more!

At the Visitor Center on November 3rd, we will be hosting Carlisle Wright, a local fourth-generation singer-songwriter of Southern style songs. With a fresh take on her classic country foundation, at 17, she is entering her final year of high school and releasing her five-track EP of original material, “Does Forever Mean Forever”. Carlisle has performed live on Lightning 100 radio in Nashville, written with seasoned Nashville tunesmiths, and has opened for Nelson Brothers, Michaela Anne, Jamie Floyd, and Alan Jackson.
