Paul O’Connor founder of STZ flourished at Sound City as a studio guitarist, vocalist, writer & producer. Paul was called to do vocal session by Bob Crew, Jerry Corbetta, Bill Conti for the Karate Kid. Worked with Autograph and numerous European artists. Paul performed with Heart, REO, Japan’s ‘Madonna’ Maria Hamada, Pegasus, Johnny O’, The O’Connor Brothers. Film Artists Agency secured acting gigs in national ad campaigns for Miller Beer, Pepsi Co, & Gatorade with Peyton Manning and Serena Williams.
In 2011 David Grohl purchased Sound City’s Neve console and produced the documentary ‘Sound City’. Paul appeared twice in the film with studio manager Paula Salvatore (Now at Capitol Studio) along with Rick Springfield, Kevin Cronin, Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, Tom Petty…so many notable iconic artists.
Paul went on to sign publishing deals in Nashville– Paul has written songs for The Little River Band and has cuts numerous feature films the television—and appeared in videos The Brother
