FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Local and new area attractions highlight the 2017 edition of the Williamson County Convention and Visitors Bureau’s annual Visitor Guide. The 40-page guide is a compilation of stories, photographs, annual events, maps, and listings showcasing more than 300 of Franklin and Williamson County’s attractions, restaurants and events. More than 125,000 copies are now available to inspire potential guests and help travelers plan their trip to Franklin and all the communities of Williamson County.
Local musician John McNally performing at the annual Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival highlights the cover of the Visitor Guide. Joining him are a number of local attractions such as the Franklin Theatre, Arrington Vineyards, and historic Carnton Plantation, in addition to shopping and entertainment hot spot The Factory at Franklin.
“That local feel and the vibe you experience when you visit Franklin, and all the communities of Williamson County, is truly what make this such a special place to so many,” said WCCVB President and CEO Ellie Westman Chin. “We wanted to highlight that authentic feeling in this year’s guide and there is no better way to capture it than through in the very words of those who make up this special place.”
Additional spotlights throughout the guide include stories of musical inspiration from Daphne Culver of Daphne & the Mystery Machines, along with some of her go-to spots. Eric Jacobson, CEO of Battle of Franklin Trust, tells the remarkable and unique story of Franklin’s history and Heath Clark of H. Clark Distillery shares how the vibe of the community influence the spirits they craft.
Westman Chin continued, “There are three pillars we focus on sharing with our guests: music, history, and culture. All of the attractions, restaurants, and events throughout Williamson County fall into one of those pillars, and were celebrated in this year’s guide.”
Guides are distributed free at the Visitor Center located in downtown Franklin and at attractions and hotels throughout Williamson County. They are also available at Tennessee’s 14 Welcome Centers across the state, and to guests requesting the publication at VisitFranklin.com. Additionally, it is also available as an e-guide at VistiFranklin.com.
