FRANKLIN, Tenn.  – The Franklin Coloring Book, a highly anticipated creation of MADE SOUTH, will be available for the first time at its official launch party during downtown Franklin’s March Art Scene. MADE SOUTH founder Chris Thomas will be on hand from 6-9 p.m., Friday, March 3, at the Visitor Center located on Fourth Avenue to share the inspirations behind the colorful project and celebrate its launch.

In addition to conversations with the creator, the Franklin Coloring Book launch party will also feature live music from Gordon Kennedy of Music City Pickers LIVE!, a kids coloring station, and complimentary refreshments. The coloring book will be available for purchase at the launch party, and the first 100 also include a packet of Franklin coloring pencils. Copies may be reserved by pre-purchase exclusively through Visit Franklin’s online store and picked up at the event.

“Caleb [Faires] and I choose to raise our families in Franklin, so creating a coloring book that would honor its history and character is something we took very seriously,” noted Thomas.

He added, “Our friends at Visit Franklin are the best when it comes to telling the story of Franklin. So, it made a lot of sense to partner with them for an exclusive pre-sale, and I’m excited that $1 from the sale of each book will benefit the good work that’s going on at New Hope Academy.”

The Franklin Coloring Book features 60 premium pages of hand-illustrated drawings depicting iconic spots such as; Main Street, Carnton Plantation, and the Natchez Trace Parkway, in addition to dozens more highlighting annual festivals, restaurants, scenic views, and much more.

“We are incredibly proud to partner with MADE SOUTH and help launch a project that is so much more than just a coloring book,” said Ellie Westman Chin, Williamson County Convention and Visitors Bureau President & CEO.

“What Chris and Caleb have put together does an incredible job of highlighting so many of the iconic locations across the county in a unique way. More than that, though, the care they put into producing this project locally and donating a portion of the profits to New Hope Academy truly embodies the caring spirit of Franklin and Williamson County,” Westman Chin added.
