FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The popular Pup Meetup benefiting the Williamson County Animal Center will return 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., Friday, April 12 to the Visitor Center at 400 Main Street in downtown Franklin. Come with your dog to meet other pups or stop by solo to visit the puppy kissing booth and meet several adoptable dogs from the Williamson County Animal Center.

For a small donation, you can step up to the puppy kissing booth at the Visitor Center and instantly make your day brighter. Inside the Visitor Center, you’ll also be able to meet several dogs looking for a forever home. For guests who would rather simply make a donation of any amount to the Williamson County Animal Center, those will also be accepted all day at the Visitor Center.

“Visit Franklin’s visitor center is pet-friendly every day but any day you get to fill it with cute puppies from the Williamson County Animal Shelter who could find a forever home is a particularly special day,” said Visit Franklin President & CEO Ellie Westman Chin. “The Better Cities For Pets program from Mars Petcare has made Franklin a model for being a pet-friendly destination for visitors, but a part of that program that is just as important is taking care of those animals already here and in need of a home as well. The Williamson County Animal Center does this wonderfully, and we want to help them in any way we can.”

Guests who bring their dogs, or those adopting a dog during the event will also be able to speak with experts from Animalia Health & Wellness on-site about caring for puppies and will receive an Animalia tennis ball for your furry friend to play with. Along Main Street during the event, guests will also be greeted up and down the iconic street by dogs available for adoption from the Williamson County Animal Center and multiple shops will be featuring puppy-themed specials. Guests can also share their Pup Meetup moments on social media using #PupMeetUp.
