This 90-minute Battlefield Tour at Rippa Villa is designed for those that prefer to walk the battlefield and learn details of how the battle unfolded on November 29, 1864, at Rippa Villa in Spring Hill. Today’s battlefield tours are taking place exactly 160 years ago. In commemoration of the 160th Anniversary this Battlefield tour will be lead at three different times, but you must register and pay for the specific tour time.
Battlefield Tours at Rippa Villa are designed for those that prefer to walk the battlefield and learn details of how the battle unfolded on November 29, 1864 at Rippa Villa in Spring Hill. Today’s battlefield tours mark the anniversary exactly 160 years ago. You MUST make a reservation and pay 24 hours prior to the tour.
This evening’s tours are immersive 15-minute guided tours through the home of the Cheairs Family, Rippa Villa. Tonight’s tours are unique due to occurring at night, and on 160th anniversary of the battle. Reservations are NOT required.
There will be a few public remarks at 4:30 pm, and at 5:00 pm tours through the house begin. The evening tours at Carnton are immersive 15-minute guided tours through the home of the McGavock Family. Experience Carter House on the 160th Anniversary of the 1864 Battle of Franklin by taking this 15-minute guided tour. This evening tour is only offered annually on November 30th. 160 years ago this November 30, the battle raged outside the Carter House, as the family hunkered in the basement for safety. The Carter House is a special tour every day of the year, but these annual evening tours are special for even those which visit Carter House often. Reservations are not required, but we do ask you to begin at the Visitor Center upon arrival to the property.
