The greatest time of year is finally here! As a cool breeze whisks the summer heat and humidity away for a few months, it’s time to swap your cold brew for a warm mug packed with all the best seasonal flavors. Coffee shops around the county become extra charming in the fall, serving up warm beverages and tasty pastries in a setting surrounded by adorable decor.

We’ve gathered five cozy coffees you should sip this season.

Pumpkin Pie Latte | The Coffee House at Second & Bridge

The cutest little coffee house in downtown Franklin, the Coffee House at Second and Bridge, has become well known for their seasonal specials, from cherry Cokes in the summer to lavender lattes for Valentine’s Day. This fall, they rolled out a mouthwatering menu of food and drink items. Among them, a Pumpkin Pie Latte. This sweet treat has an espresso base with milk, brown sugar, cinnamon and pumpkin spice syrup, and will surely pair well with the caramel apple pie crepe.

Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Brew | Mama’s Java

Head to Nolensville’s Mama’s Java for a seasonal specialty that changes every day of the week. Their brews and lattes range from pumpkin marshmallow to churro latte, though might we suggest opting for something with a major flavor kick? Visit on Tuesdays for a tough choice between a Kentucky Bourbon Pecan roast or a Triple Chocolate Mocha latte. Or, settle into one of the mismatched tables with a good book long enough to try them both.

Toasted Yammy Latte | Honest Coffee Roasters

Your favorite Thanksgiving side is now available all season long… in coffee form. Honest Coffee Roasters, which has brand new digs in the Factory at Franklin, is serving up a Toasted Yammy Latte this fall. The special syrup combines sweet potato pie, pumpkin spice, vanilla and toasted marshmallow plus espresso and milk for a surprisingly incredible flavor combination that exudes fall in every sip. Enjoy a cup while getting some work done, catching up with friends, people watching, or sip while you shop the latest Factory renovations.

Cookie Butter Latte | Onyx + Alabaster

A stroll through Downtown Franklin is made better with a stop at the ultra-chic Onyx + Alabaster, which is part interior design studio and part coffee house. Grab any of the seasonal lattes, including cookie butter, s’mores, and pumpkin harvest, then snag a spot on the sidewalk to watch fall unfold through Franklin’s square.

Kettle Corn Latte | The Fainting Goat Coffee

Spring Hill’s Fainting Goat Coffee takes pride in being different, and their seasonal specialties are no exception. The fall menu does feature favorites like the PSL and a PSCL (pumpkin spice chai latte), each made with real pumpkin and without any added syrups. But one option stands out among the others: the Kettle Corn Latte. It’s a buttery, sweet, and salty delicacy best enjoyed with a side of churros.
