David A. Edwards is a constant learner with a watchful eye for processes and efficiencies – and he’s a decent table tennis player too!

Lucky for Visit Franklin, David has been using those process and efficiency skills as the Vice President of Finance & Administration since December 2022. He oversees the accounting and record-keeping for Visit Franklin, in addition to analyzing and forecasting future budgets and revenues.

David comes to Visit Franklin, having shepherded multiple accounts in the private sector as a controller at Pilot.com and serving as director of accounting at Franklin-based Michael Hyatt & Company (now Full Focus). He also spent over a decade in local government for Metro Nashville and the Town of Smyrna, serving in roles ranging from Development Finance Officer to Finance Administrator and Finance & Accounting Manager.

When not crunching budget numbers, the Jonesboro, Arkansas native loves diving into the latest leadership book, nodding along to a great podcast from industry leaders – high five to any other At the Table with Patrick Lencioni listeners! You’ll also find him at the gym staying in peak table tennis shape, embarking on road trips with his family to the beach in South Carolina, or exploring farmer’s markets across Middle Tennessee.
