Eric A. Jacobson has been delving into the American Civil War for nearly 25 years, weaving the threads of history into compelling narratives and helping visitors understand how history has an impact on the present.. A Minnesota native who found his way to Middle Tennessee, Eric has dedicated himself to illuminating the stories of Franklin’s past. As Chief Operating Officer and Historian for the Battle of Franklin Trust, he oversees preserving Carnton, Carter House, and Rippa Villa, sites central to understanding the Battles of Franklin and Spring Hill. Eric is also the author of several notable books, including For Cause & For Country, hailed as one of the most significant works on the Battle of Franklin.
