Pass the Milk Duds. Share the memories.
One step inside The Franklin Theatre and you’ll fall hard for the good old days. Locals refer to the 1937 art deco movie house as the Crown Jewel of Franklin’s Main Street.
After an epic renovation that made national headlines, the theater is now considered a state-of-the-art music venue hosting a variety of artists such as Sheryl Crow, Vince Gill, Keb’ Mo’, and Jason Isbell. The mighty little theater is fast carving its niche as an entertainment and cultural icon.
Staying true to its “home of first kisses” roots, The Franklin Theatre is once again a favorite movie house showing both first-run and classic films nearly every day of the week. Oh, and show time is go time (no previews).
The Franklin Theatre is also home to award-winning live theater, comedy acts, and special events such as Super Bowl telecasts, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and other creative gatherings.
Every seat in the house is sweet. The 322-seat theatre means each live concert feels more like a private serenade. A handful of tabletop seating, a wine bar, and full concessions help turn an ordinary movie night into a special occasion.
