This year’s lucky number 13 Annual ForkFest will feel like ole home week when powerhouse rock ‘n’ soul band Hippies & Cowboys take the stage at the Lawnchair Theatre. The free, outdoor concert in the historic village of Leiper’s Fork, kicks off at 3 p.m., Oct. 25 to celebrate music and community. Alyssa Flaherty, who performs often at the iconic local venue Fox & Locke, is set to open the show. Fork Festers are urged to come early to shop in the village, have lunch at specialty food trucks and local eateries, and enjoy the inspiring music of Hippies & Cowboys and Alyssa Flaherty. The event is a free, rain or shine event. Attendees are reminded to follow the parking instructions at the east entrance to the village. Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair and gather in the Lawnchair Theatre at 4144 Old Hillsboro Road behind Leiper’s Creek Gallery at 3 p.m. CDT, Oct. 25. No pets and no coolers are allowed.
