Two performances only: Sunday, November 8 at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
In honor of Veterans Day, Douglas Taurel brings his Off Broadway one man play to The Franklin Theatre. Every word comes from real letters written by American service members and their families, from Valley Forge to Afghanistan. In 90 minutes, Taurel brings 14 characters to life: a soldier writing home, a Civil War husband saying goodbye, a mother at the Vietnam Wall, a father speaking after losing his son.
Performed three times at the Kennedy Center and at the Library of Congress, toured to more than 53 cities, and nominated for an Amnesty International Award, The American Soldier honors those who serve, those who served, and the families who wait for them. Stay after each show for a talkback and meet-and-greet.
