Summertime at Lucky Ladd Farms

Our very own Lucky Ladd Farms has several quintessential Williamson County summer events you won’t want to miss!

Splash Days at Lucky Ladd Farms are happening every Thursday through Sunday from June 5 to August 3 and every Saturday and Sunday from August 9-31. This summer favorite is the perfect way to beat the heat by playing in the splash pad, racing down inflatable water slides, and frolicking in the foamy fun at the Bubble Blast. Pair that with all the usual Lucky Ladd charm—petting zoo, pony rides, playgrounds, and delicious farm treats—and you’ve got yourself the ultimate family outing. Don’t forget your sunscreen and towels, and get ready to make a splash! Changing stations will be available onsite.

Step into the fluttering fairy tale that is the Tennessee Butterfly Experience! Open from June 19 through July 27, this magical walk-through garden allows guests to get up-close and personal with hundreds of native butterflies and witness the spectacular live butterfly releases that happen daily. Perfect for families, photographers, and nature lovers alike, this immersive encounter is educational and enchanting all at once. You’ll learn about the butterfly life cycle, explore pollinator-friendly plantings, and even have a chance to hand-feed the butterflies themselves. Check Lucky Ladd’s website for seasonal dates and plan your visit to this unforgettable celebration of nature’s gentlest creatures. Buying tickets in advance is strongly recommended.

Finally, wander through golden fields of sunshine at Lucky Ladd Farms during their Pick-Your-Own Sunflower Experience, where you can walk through a field of over 200,000 sunflowers and zinnias and harvest armfuls of bright blooms to take home for the perfect photo backdrop. Peak bloom usually arrives mid-July, but the experience is weather-dependent, so keep an eye on updates via Facebook and Instagram. But wait, it gets better! Mark your calendar for the Tennessee Sunflower Festival on July 5-6, a full weekend of live music, local eats, crafts, and sunflower-themed fun. Whether you’re here for the perfect Instagram moment or a peaceful afternoon in nature, this is one summer memory you won’t want to miss.
