A bride in a flowing white gown stands at the top of an elegant staircase, holding a bouquet of white flowers, with a grand architectural backdrop in Williamson County, Tennessee.

I’ve been to a lot of weddings, and growing up in Franklin, many of those took place right here. We’re surrounded by rolling hills, towering trees, and historic buildings, and are conveniently located within a few miles of numerous hotels for guests, as well as just a half hour from an international airport.

Needless to say, if you’re hosting a wedding or big event with lots of folks traveling, Franklin could hardly get more perfect.

Whether you’re planning an intimate garden ceremony for 50 of your closest people or a 500-person blowout with a full stage and a light show, I’d be willing to bet there’s a venue here that matches your vision.

Here’s where to start.

Elegant wedding reception venue with long wooden tables adorned with white plates, green garlands, and tall candles, set in a rustic barn with string lights and white curtains in Williamson County, Tennessee.

Battle Mountain Farm (College Grove)

I’ve attended and helped plan a wedding at Battle Mountain Farm for one of my very best friends, and I wouldn’t have wanted her wedding to turn out any other way! The 240-acre working farm features an on-site farmhouse, a guest house that accommodates 12, and a log cabin that sleeps an additional four. For the wedding I was part of, we were able to spend the whole weekend together sipping wine and having quality girl time, which made the whole thing feel more immersive and relaxed than any other wedding I’ve been in. The venue itself has a climate-controlled event barn with seating for 250, a lakeside gazebo for the ceremony, a bridal suite, a groom’s suite, and a full kitchen.

The Barn at Sycamore Farms (Franklin)

I’ve been to a wedding at Sycamore Farms, and the drive up set the tone for the grandeur that would unfold that night. There are multiple spaces on property: The Barn is a massive, climate-controlled venue with vaulted ceilings; The Island is a 9,000-square-foot space with a wooden pergola, accessible by a stone and wood bridge (the 100-year-old sycamore tree the property is named for is located here, too); The ladies lounge has dedicated hair and makeup stations, a walk-in closet, and a mini fridge; The gentlemen’s quarters have shuffleboard, a large-screen TV, and a poker table.

Cedarmont Farm (Franklin)

Cedarmont Farm is a sprawling 40-acre estate some 20 minutes from Nashville with a historic home, a modern reception barn, a creek, a pond with a fountain, a walking bridge, and spectacular sunset views. The property has been family-owned for over 30 years and has hosted more than 150 weddings. They take an all-inclusive approach, bundling planning, catering, florals, rentals, and day-of coordination from preferred vendors.

A beautifully landscaped garden with string lights, white tables, and lush greenery creates a serene outdoor event space in Williamson County, Tennessee.

CJ’s Off the Square (Franklin)

CJ’s is really special — it’s a renovated historic home with a romantic garden located just steps from Main Street in Downtown Franklin. Events here are all-inclusive with planning, coordination, catering, tables, linens, lighting, and cleanup bundled in the price. For a small, elegant wedding in the heart of Franklin’s historic district, you won’t beat the location. Note: capacity is capped at 135 guests.

Cool Springs House (Cool Springs)

At Cool Springs House, couples get exclusive use of the house and grounds for up to 150 guests, with open vendor and alcohol policies, two changing suites, an on-site kitchen, and a private event loft for up to 50 (you can use it for rehearsal dinners or showers). They proudly tout that there are no mandatory vendor packages and no hidden fees if you’re looking for no-fuss planning.

Graystone Quarry (Thompson’s Station)

Williamson County has its own Red Rocks, the FirstBank Amphitheater. And while you can catch a show there, you can also host your wedding at neighboring Graystone Quarry! The 160-acre property is an actual reclaimed rock quarry complete with limestone cliff walls, a waterfall, forests and meadows, natural streams and ponds. Event spaces are built from the quarry’s own limestone and locally milled wood, with slide-away glass doors bridging interior and exterior spaces. While taking cues from nature in its design, the venue features state-of-the-art lighting, video, and sound in-house.

Homestead Manor (Thompson’s Station)

Established in 1819, Homestead Manor in Thompson’s Station sits on 48 acres of classic Middle Tennessee land. Hosting an event here comes complete with century-old trees, a beautifully restored event barn, and a covered outdoor pavilion, plus a bridal suite and groom’s quarters.

Liberty Hall at The Factory (Franklin)

My brother had his reception here! At 14,400 square feet, Liberty Hall is the largest event space at The Factory at Franklin. The room has an industrial vibe, a massive stage, hanging string lights, and room for up to 1,500 people if you really want to go big.

Local Ark (Franklin)

Ten minutes from Downtown Franklin, Local Ark is a micro wedding venue with a charming white chapel, a reception barn, and a lighted outdoor patio. The space is stunning, but designed for intentionally small gatherings if that’s what you’re in the market for.

Mint Springs Farm (Nolensville)

A full-day event venue, Mint Springs Farm offers a bridal suite, groom’s loft, ceremony pavilion, and reception barn all on one property, so the full wedding day can be spent in one place. Mint Springs has a collection of preferred vendors for things like florals, catering, and desserts, making it easy to customize your event yet have it run smoothly.

Ravenswood Mansion (Brentwood)

Built in 1825 on 400 acres in Brentwood, Ravenswood Mansion has an outdoor stone patio that seats 250 and an indoor space for up to 300. Couples bring their own vendors and alcohol and have access to the full grounds from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the big day. Plus, you’ll have access to 400 acres of the property for photos.

Southall Meadows (Leiper’s Fork)

Set on 200+ acres between Leiper’s Fork and Historic Downtown Franklin, Southall Meadows has both modern and historic event spaces that can accommodate up to 280 people. Package options range from a full venue rental to all-inclusive packages covering coordination, bar, and audio. The landscape is the talking point, though, complete with rolling hills, wildlife, and river views.

The Castle (Franklin)

If your Pinterest board includes getting married in a castle with a heckuva story, we’ve got you! Built between 1929 and 1932 by a Chicago mobster as a gambling hideout — complete with a hidden passageway and underground mushroom cellar — The Castle later became a gourmet restaurant, a riding academy, and for the past 40 years, one of Nashville’s premier recording studios, welcoming the likes of Chris Stapleton, Alan Jackson, Snoop Dogg, and Shawn Mendes.

Trinity View Farm (Franklin)

Sitting at one of the highest points in Williamson County, Trinity View Farm has spectacular views of the area. The venue features a custom-milled oak timber frame, vaulted ceilings, herringbone brick floors, and a grand arch doorway for a truly Pinterest-worthy portrait. Couples have total control of their event from setup to catering, and the 2,500-square-foot bridal suite accommodates overnight stays for up to 10 guests if you want to keep your party in one place.
