Vacations are often a time for over-indulging and under-performing, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing! But some of us want to keep up our healthy habits even when away from home, and Franklin, Tennessee, is here to support you in this goal! Here, you’ll find a great balance of staying true to your fitness goals while also getting that little treat you deserve.

Healthy Eats

For most people, “Southern comfort” food comes to mind when they think of Franklin, and they wouldn’t necessarily be wrong. However, our city has a fantastic selection of restaurants for those who want to stay fit and healthy, ranging from farm-to-table to organic to vegetarian to juice bars, all while staying true to our Southern cuisine charm.

Herban Market is an all-organic restaurant, bakery, market, and coffee bar founded in Franklin and open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This local legend serves a huge variety of made-from-scratch options, including burgers, salads, pizzas, and more, with fresh and organic ingredients and many gluten and dairy-free selections. Customers can also shop for groceries, sample olive oils, or try some of their delicious beer and wine from the bar. This place has it all and stays true to its passion that started in 2015: “to bring our community the best of the best in food, wine, and wellness”.

Sushi enthusiasts will love a guilt-free option in Healthy Sushi, locally owned and dedicated to the highest quality ingredients for the best taste and healthiest sushi option possible. And if you’re in town on a Saturday morning, the Franklin Farmer’s Market has a fantastic selection of fresh produce, baked goods, and local food truck favorites such as Califarmia, which offers healthy, mouth-watering burritos, rice bowls, and guacamole.
